Ski Vermont Fifth Grade Passport FAQ’s

Ski Vermont Fifth Grade Passports are sold and then managed by customer through Ski Vermont’s Online Pass Portal. No physical pasbook provided.

Log in or create an account in the portal. To create an account, complete the account creation and household information page. Once created, you will be brought to the product purchase page where you can proceed or log back in to complete later. The account username, password and email address will be utilized to access the Fifth Grade Passport, manage usage and receive reserved vouchers.

The process the parent/guardian and/or fifth grader completes—by logging into their portal, selecting a ski area and visit date to generate a single-use barcode—is a voucher reservation. The reserved voucher must be presented at the ski area to be redeemed for a lift ticket unless otherwise stated in the destination ski area’s redemption requirements.

Customers are welcome to check the approval status of a purchase by logging into their customer portal. The portal will state which products are pending and display any already approved.

The Fifth Grade Passport costs $20 and is open to all currently enrolled fifth grade students, VT/US residency not required.

Includes the following:

Alpine Access: Three (3) lift ticket vouchers to each of the participating alpine ski areas. The passport bearer (the student for who the passport was applied and approved for) can visit the same area up to the max of 3 times.

Cross-Country Access: Up to three (3) trail pass vouchers to each of the participating cross-country areas. Most cross-country centers provide 1 trail pass.

One (1) Fifth Grade Passport per student.* Each individual voucher entitles only the fifth grade bearer to a one-day lift or trail ticket for use Dec 1, 2022-May 1, 2023, subject to the area’s restricted dates as well as reservation and redemption requirements. Passport bearers must be accompanied by a ticket or pass-holding adult. An adult may bring up to two passport bearers.*Students may only participate once in the 5th grade passport program. Ski Vermont reserves the right to cancel and refund applications for students who are flagged as having already participated in this program, regardless the season.

Passports are valid Dec. 1, 2022 - May 1, 2023  or until a participating area closes for the season, whichever comes first and are subject to restricted dates at the destination ski area. Customers can view prior to purchase the resricted dates and reservation/redemption requirements under Participating Areas, Restricted Dates, Redemption & Reservation Information and in the customer portal once purchased under "More Info".

Please note early & late season access is subject to potentially limited terrain and ski area operations. While Ski Vermont works closely with our members to update our portal information It's the customers responsibility to verify if a ski area is open and terrain availability and ability. as operations can change daily at a ski area's discretion.  A date may still show as available in the portal for reservation if Ski Vermont has not received the closure information from a ski area.

Restricted dates are dates vouchers are not valid for use. A reserved voucher does not guarantee the bearer any ticket or ticket reservation privileges unless otherwise stated in the destination ski area’s redemption process. Participating ski areas ~are not obligated~ to redeem voucher if bearers fail to abide by a ski area’s redemption and/or reservation procedures or if the area has reached max capacity for the day. Ski area daily operating schedules (especially during early and late season) may vary at the ski area's discretion. It is advised that bearers check the destination ski area's website prior to reserving their voucher to ensure they are open and operating on the desired visit date. A date may still show as available in the portal for reservation if Ski Vermont has not received the closure information from a ski area.

Check out this quick video on how to reserve your Fifth Grade Passport voucher

Please contact Ski Vermont at support@passes.skivermont.com with your details PRIOR to the date the reservation is for, including child’s name, voucher number, ski area and selected redemption date chosen so we can work with you to re-validate* the voucher for future use at our discretion.

If you reserve a voucher and are turned away at the ski area due to max capacity for that chosen day when attempting to redeem, please email that same day stating max capacity as the request for revalidation reason. We will confirm information with the ski area and re-validate* the voucher for future use at our discretion.

If any voucher has already been used to complete an advanced online ticket reservation, re-validation will not be an option as that voucher number is already registered in the ski area's system and not work for you again. Customers will need to work with the ski area directly to request date change.
